In 1930s Singapore, childhood friends Fei and Kai dream of becoming world-class violinists. But as war descends in 1941, their lives are torn apart. Kai joins the Resistance and disappears after being captured by the Japanese. For decades, Fei searches for him, her music echoing with sorrow and hope. Now in her twilight years, she faces a choice: keep chasing the past, or embrace her own voice.
